Saint Elisabeth Of Thuringia gave her life in caring for the sick.
As she died, on this day, November 17, 991 years ago in 1231, she sang: “It is now the time when [Christ] rose from the grave and broke the doors of hell, and He will release me.”

Saint Elisabeth devoted herself to charity.
Last Saturday in Melbourne, I saw a pepper sprayed woman getting relief to her pain from a fellow freedom fighter.
The deep, callous cruelty on the faces of these Victoria Police men, these political tools of a corrupt government, is a damning indictment of what Australia has become.

The solution is compassion, moral and political strength and the wisdom of the best of our heritage leading genuine, human care.

This solution is truly beautiful.
