Click to watch Ingram speak about freedom.
Ingram Spencer is a United Australia Party candidate in the marginal seat of Higgins in the upcoming federal election. He is a passionate libertarian.
4 days ago his Liberal opponent, the sitting member, Dr Katie Allen of the Morrison government, said he was too aggressive and that he had been “scaring everyone” at a meeting and then the Australian Federal Police became involved. Note this well: when a member of the federal government running for reelection complained about her opponent’s words, the federal police became involved.
And now Ingram Spencer is in jail charged with being aggressive and spreading Russian propaganda.
It is not 100 % clear exactly what has happened here, but Ingram Spencer’s use of the words “mean girls” and “bitchiness” appear to have been described as “toxic” and “aggressive”. He said that he faced horrible things and they said that he was horrible.
To me this looks like robust debate. Ingram’s words are words that do upset many people but many men are profoundly traumatised by the constant modern feminist descriptions of what they do as normal human beings as “toxic” and “aggressive”.
True freedom of speech can hurt sometimes.
But without it, as Ingram himself insists, all other freedoms die.
I am not scared of Ingram’s words.
But the PC crap which has seen him incarcerated terrifies me.
Ingram Spencer must go free.

(Ingram is reported to have retweeted a meme which says that media criticism of Putin happens because Putin has said that the New World Order is not welcome in Russia. Discussing an opinion of the Russian president about a World Order proclaimed in 1991 by America’s 41st President George H W Bush looks like legitimate political discussion to me.
I think it is a tragedy that Putin has not done as good a job of confronting the approach of the North Atlantic Treaty organisation towards Russian borders as JFK did during the Cuban missile crisis of confronting the proximity of Soviet missiles to America. But people in the West should realise that the Russian borders in question are a very long way away from the North Atlantic and trying to understand and discuss Putin’s policy in ways that differ from the mainstream is something a good candidate should be allowed to do without fear of going to jail for it. Especially in Australia which is even further from the North Atlantic than Russia is.)
