Armageddon In Australia

Sometimes in life, we face great challenges and can get justice.

But not for me in the country of my birth.

On this day in 1790, in the first ever State Of The Union address, George Washington said, “Knowledge is in every country the surest basis of public happiness. “

May our futures look back to this wisdom from the past.

God Bless America.

God Save Australia from itself.

Gender Equity: Knowing Power

Times change.

Twenty years ago Nancy Pelosi became the first ever female speaker of the US Congress.

One of this woman’s most famous aspirations tells us a great deal about the world we live in: “I really want women to know their power ……”

I was a midwife for 31 years and I also want women to know their true female power, both what it is and, just as importantly, what it isnt.

Making life work is all about balance.

This truth about men also holds for women.

Lest We Forget.

All Of Us.

A New Decades Resolution: Know What Has Gone.

“Those who seek absolute power, even though they seek it to do what they regard as good, are simply demanding the right to enforce their own version of heaven on earth. And let me remind you, they are the very ones who always create the most hellish tyrannies.” – Barry Goldwater, born 110 years ago, January 2nd, 1909.

We need to stand up together against spluttering, cluttering strangling flegminism.

A few days ago, when I asked my friend Natalie Connolly what was wrong with the decade that has just ended, she wrote back to me:

“Women were more ladylike in years gone by.

Men and women had more respect for each other. We had fun and we knew boundaries. Today just sneezing could land you in court. “

Don’t I know that!

My initial reaction to Natalie’s comment was a desire to embrace old fashionerd values with this resolution for the New Year and New Decade: “Lets all strive to be better ladies and gentlemen.”

But on New Years Day, I just couldnt do that. The modern forces of tyranny are far too strong for me.

This is no lack of respect for the breath taking beauty of Natalie’s ideals.

But the world where people could truly live those values is gone.

The best I can hope for is that more people show awareness of what has been lost.

Lest We Forget.

PHLEGMINISM

We are finishing a decade where the Plegminists have won.

They spat their bile in numbers and men were just undone.

But if you try to catch them, not a chance: the evidence is gone.

Here is a list of lowlights, assembled with the help of a farflung team:

1. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who self-identifies as a feminist, asserted that we should “believe all allegations” of sexual misconduct. So much for the Presumption Of Innocence and Beyond Reasonable Doubt. A young Prime Minister threw out millenia of jurisprudence to prove to the world that he “respects women.”

2. Sherele Moody linked fire fighters – who risk their lives for communities faced with cataclysmic destruction – to alleged rises in domestic violence: Moody claimed: “Women become extremely unsafe when, generally, the men return home from the fires and subject them to domestic violence.”

3. Australian Senator Sarah Hanson Young angrily dismissed Senator David Leyonhjelm, her quiete-voiced anti big government libertarian critic of middle class welfare as “a middle aged white guy.” SHE also sued HIM for attacking her reputation.

4. When I patriotically wanted to plant memorial trees and share some art, the police arrested me and dragged me through hell. To protect an unaccountable woman elected to government from doing her job.

Queensland’s Stop Gender War activist who identifies as Knot Aman writes this about Feminism’s last ten years:

“The last decade has seen a corruption of the feminist movement by the hateful and violent ……… those who seek raw power for its own ends by any means necessary.

The much needed and highly legitimate fight to draw attention to family abuse has been undermined by the manipulation of statistics, the funding of research with an agenda controlled by women, the embracing of false allegations in pursuit of control, the elimination of perjury as a crime in family violence settings and the (misandrist) rhetoric behind the term “violence against women and ‘their’ children”.

……….. the real agenda is not a fair and equal distribution of power in gender politics, but rather a lust to overcome any objection to women getting whatever they want.

Many aware women who call themselves feminists are now starting to question the hate and violence being done in their name.”

Lest We Forget the profound decency of men.

In Memoriam: SAM FOXVOG

Tim Goldich of Chicago remembers his young friend Sam Foxvog, who recently died in a car accident on the way home for Xmas.

“Sam was lovable. He had a sweetness to him. People liked him and you felt like you wanted to protect him, or perhaps, you wanted to protect his innocence.

When driving at night, Sam would pick a spot on the ground, or somewhere under an overpass, and just crash for the night. He certainly wasn’t at all dependent upon creature comforts!

On the 23rd of December (NB the depths of winter in Maryland where the average December overnight temperature is 27.3 degrees Fahrenheit – minus 2.6 degrees Celsius) Sam wrote on facebook of sleeping …. “In the hedgeline by the highway outside my car. I woke up at 8:40 am or so ……. So peaceful.”

He didn’t always make sense; he could talk on and on nonstop without being all that coherent. But when he wrote his thoughts down, he nailed everything with clarity and insight.

But when he’d laugh, I HAD to laugh too. I could not help but laugh, even though I had no idea what we were laughing about, because his laugh was so infectious, so guileless.”

Deeply felt words from Tim Goldich.

Lest we forget: what we all need.

MEN SEEK BALANCE

Jesus Christ said “….. the truth will set you free.”

Jesus was not the only very talented man born on Christmas Day.

Isaac Newton, born on Christmas Day in 1642, said ” What we know is a drop, what we don’t know is an ocean.” A circumspect genius.

Charlie Chaplin died on Xmas Day, 1977. He once said, “Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself.

In his first movie as a director Chaplin showed sympathy for the life of a deserted single mother and, through his clown persona, showed the glory of fathering which comes from the heart. I was a midwife for 31 years and, for me, The Kid is easily one of the greatest movies ever made.

Jesus was born to a single mother – engaged to Joseph but not yet married.

The immaculate conception didn’t need wedlock.

These three men are worth remembering on Christmas Day.

Jesus Christ: liberating honesty.

Isaac Newton: intellectual modesty from a genius.

Then the courage of a great clown and cultural icon finding true manliness in being a dad.

In the real world, men seek balance.

But, in The West, we dont always get it now.

Margaret Mead

Margaret Mead: “Children must be taught how to think, not what to think. “

It’s the difference between freedom and indoctrination.” – Tim Goldich

———————————————————–

I was a midwife for 31 years, but modern feminist tyranny in Maribyrnong, Victoria, has turned me into an MRA, a men’s rights activist.

So I love and celebrate the humanity of Margaret Mead who was born on this day in 1901.

Mead observed that, “There is no greater insight into the future than recognizing when we save our children, we save ourselves ………” and “………. when women disengage completely from their traditional role they become more ruthless and savage than men.”

What does this mean for women and for the rest of us when fewer women become mothers?

Lady MacBeth. And her husband. From Shakespeare. How long has this been going on?

Human Rights Trashed in Terra Nullius.

Too many Australians dont know what it is to be human anymore. Or maybe that is not so new. The continent was once called Terra Nullius (Nobody’s Land) so that colonisers could ignore the indigenous inhabitants and claim ownership for their own nation.

Many people in Australia believe Australia has a good human rights record, but, so far, not a single one of them from the Prime Minister down has been willing to say publicly and openly for me on this blog that what happened to me was wrong: in 2016 when I wanted to celebrate human rights in Australia, my own human rights were trashed.

So I renounced my citizenship and sought asylum in Indonesia, a nation built on civilised humanity.

After two weeks of sanctuary in a tertiary level madrassah and three months in Immigration Detention, I was deported back to Australia against my will.

I might become homeless this Australian summer.

But I wont back down: I stand on and I speak up for my right to be free.

For freedom of speech.

For the integrity of representative democracy.

For the right to self-determination.

Calling Out Tanya Pilbersek on Misandry and Freedom of Speech

Tanya Pilbersek, today is your 50th birthday and the 65th anniversary of the censure of Joseph McCarthy by the US Senate.

Today I remind you of the great words of one of the pioneers of the long campaign to bring McCarthy under control. On June 1st 1950 Senator Margaret Smith of Maine said to the Senate: “Freedom of speech is not what it used to be in America.  It has been so abused by some that it is not exercised by others.”

Senator Smith took a courageous stand against what she called “hate and character assassination”

Today I ask you, Tanya Pilbersek, to repudiate the misandry of #metoo and White Ribbon Day which has created a climate of fear where an elected people’s representative of your political party can use the police against freedom of speech and not be held to account.

I call on you to unequivocally reject the sexist campaign to end violence against women. This is a gross affront to all male victims of violence.

Today, on the day of your birth, I, writing as a former midwife of 3 decades standing, ask you to remember all mothers and recant your politically motivated opposition to Tony Abbott’s sadly ill fated but ground breaking proposal for a more generous paid parental leave scheme.

Mr Abbott wanted to tax the biggest companies in Australia to give all mothers 6 months 100% income replacement for income up to $150,00 a year.

You said that this showed his “lack of respect” for women.

The truth is that you showed your lack of respect for mothers.

Shame on you.
