Women Against Andrews #2 Rebekah Spelman

On the 21st anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington DC, I, Geoff Fox, speak up with Rebekah Spelman against the despicable terrorism of Daniel Michael Andrews, the Premier of Victoria.

Becky has currently left Victoria to try to take stock of what has been done by the evil Andrews state government.

Here are this woman’s strong, raw words on the deep wounds to her patriotic soul from that man:

“I am here in London because I can’t stand the tyranny and the way our lives are being decided for us by a bunch of self-declared rulers ……. Andrews is a power hungry despot and his history of corruption, lies and blatant disregard for the law or the social, moral, legal and economic bounds on him are infuriating. He runs our state into the ground financially by blowing up the state budget to the point where our debt is greater than New South Wales and Queensland combined. There’s no limit to his spending; that’s not good governance. It’s ignorance.

He has broken the law and abused our human rights and these breaches have been found and declared by official inquiries, but there are no consequences and he just carries on.”

Daniel Andrews made shameless use of fear politics in daily press conferences about the Coronavirus to justify lockdowns which trashed educational outcomes, trashed the economy, did enormous damage to just about every aspect of social living and falsely imprisoned millions of Melbourne people in their own homes longer than in any other place in the world.

Andrews is a terrorist.

I am confident that, when Becky Spelman returns to Melbourne, she will keep calling him out.

Her real strength and the greater freedom movement are bound to win.

Freedom always wins because freedom works.

Aussie Freedom Freedom Fighters #7 Pauline

The sophistication and complexity of our intellectual communication separates us from most other species, as far as I know.

All we mortal human beings usually seem to need to speak our truths as best we can.

That’s why freedom of speech is so important to us.

That freedom includes both speaking and being heard.

But absolute certainties reside with God.

Godless tyrants now frequently destroy what’s best in themselves and too many innocent victims.

Lies In Australia Rollcall #1 Fully Welcoming Refugees At A Cathedral

Dear Archbishop Freier,

St Paul’s Cathedral is one of my favourite sacred places in Melbourne.

But there is a partisan political statement on the front of the cathedral which isn’t a fully lived truth. It offends and hurts me.

This massive poster advocates fully welcoming refugees.

Only God can fully welcome anyone anywhere.

You yourself have acknowledged to me personally that I am a refugee from Australia in Australia.

That means a lot to me.

Yesterday, a wonderful young priest, who is currently regenerating what an Anglican service can be in the cathedral, did fully welcome me at the cathedral, but the number one guy in her mostly male hierarchy advised her to stop fully welcoming a member of the public like me. And she decided to follow his advice. I was personally hurt and to deal with that I am writing this letter.

She was living and breathing what I consider the glorious metaphor of the story of Jesus. This story taught and teaches humanity that God is family and we must follow family. That is very impressive Christian discipleship.

Archbishop, perhaps it’s time for the Dean to take down the banner at the cathedral which seems to me to make a promise that you and your people cannot keep.

If that can’t be done in a hurry, can you give me half an hour of your time to look more fully at my ideas?

I’d call that living in The Word.

Do have 30 minutes to spare to live like that with me?

Is This A Priori Research – The Orange One

BT is an intelligent, beautiful, charming student doing anthropology research at the university where I studied classical Latin, philosophy and English language and literature a long time ago.

In a one and a half hour interview for BT’s qualitative research project on Melbourne’s freedom movement, I detected an a priori trend in her/his/its/your/our/their thinking.

I expressed concern to BT as best I could that I was uncomfortable that there might be what I considered a priori conclusions about me which I considered ageist racist or sexist in the research conclusions and requested permission for that opinion, if I held it when I read it, to be printed in the final project.

That request was never discussed with me.

BT told me that she/he/it/we/you/they could not work with me.

I believe that inclusion is always better than exclusion if what we are all doing is working for the common good.

But that is an old fashioned belief of a now redundant male midwife living in poverty in what BT seems to agree is a police state.

In the fight for freedom and truth, we should be on the same side.

As far as I can tell.

P.S. at the time of writing I do not know what BT’s preferred pronouns are, just that BT told me that he/she/it/we/you/they does not identify as a woman.

Cromwell, the Fallen Anzacs and Freedom: Lest We Forget The Truth

On April 25, 1599, Oliver Cromwell was born into England’s landed gentry. The great religious poet John Milton praised him as Cromwell, our chief of men, who through a cloud, ……… To peace and truth Thy glorious way has ploughed” whereas Winston Churchill condemned him as a “dictator”, writing “Upon all of us there still lies ‘the curse of Cromwell.‘ “.

Cromwell grew to become a strong ruler in difficult times. He genuinely believed in liberty, writing in 1650: “Your pretended fear lest error should step in, is like the man that would keep all the wine out of the country lest men should be drunk. It will be found an unjust and unwise jealousy, to deny a man the liberty he hath by nature upon a supposition that he may abuse it.”

Seven weeks before he died he expressed great disillusionment with the realities of power, telling parliament in 1658: “I would have been glad ……. to have kept a flock of sheep, rather than undertook such a Government as this is.”

Lest we forget the truth.

The Truth. In all its complexity. The impossibility of living up to Utopian dreams for any mortal human.

On April 25, 1915, courageous Australian diggers began sacrificing their lives to serve the needs of the British Empire. About 62,000 died in World War One in the following years. (Over one percent of the nations population.) About 156,00 were wounded, gassed or taken prisoner. Those figures combined are over half of the 416,809 men who enlisted. They were all volunteers.

Lest we forget the truth.

All of our traditions make us who we are.

Trying to be better is a part of that.

Government Stupidity – Calling It Out #1 Alan Tudge

It beggars belief that someone, who tweeted something as stupid as Alan Tudge’s tweet 5 months ago today on October 22nd last year, ever served as Australia’s Education Minister.

But Alan Tudge did tweet it when he was Australia’s federal Minister for Education and Youth.

This sort of stupidity is what comes when government is too big, too corrupt and out of touch with the people.
