It is a great honour for me to be able to publish on this very special day the above generous letter of endorsement by a wonderful veteran from the Australian Army of my military heritage efforts.
The author is for me a spiritual brother with whom I feel a profound bond in reverence for The Supreme Being and for all those of our forebears who created the wonderful possibilities for life which exist for us today even though some social trends make respect for tradition and for God very very difficult.

On the 9th September 1087, the controversial strong man and founding father William The Conqueror died.
On this day in 1776, the term “United States” replaced “United Colonies” in referring to America: a very important milestone in America’s astonishing capacity, at her best, for self-knowledge and self-correction. This capacity makes America herself a hero for me.
On September 9, 1828, Leo Tolstoy was born, the author of the great novel “War and Peace”, of which Nobel Prize Winner Romain Rolland said, “It is life itself in its eternal movement.” ………… Ernest Hemingway said that reading Tolstoy taught him how to write about war.
In 1945, on the ninth of the ninth, Australia’s General Blamey accepted the Japanese surrender in Morotai. On that island an indigenous land owner of the place where Douglas MacArthur built his wife a bathroom tells me he believes that my father’s soul has found peace among beautiful old trees.
On September the 9th, 1949, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyno was born into a family home where the integration of family and community was and is very very strong. When I met him in the presidential palace during his presidency he said he would like to visit my art display in Morotai. Could all readers of this blog please consider praying in whatever way works for you that that visit can happen someday.
September 9th is now the most common birthday in the United States.
It is an amazing day.
